After you create an event from your Page, you can “boost” it to help increase awareness, encourage RSVPs, and drive ticket sales…

Like boosted posts, boosted events appear higher in Facebook News Feed and on Instagram, so there’s a better chance you can reach your target audience…

First, click Boost Event

Choose An Objective

Some businesses may want to focus on increasing ticket sales, while others may want to drive awareness of their event…

This is why there are two objectives (or goals)…

Increase Ticket Sales and Reach More People

  • If you choose to increase ticket sales, people will see Get Tickets in the lower right of your ad…
  • If you choose to reach more people, you ad will show Interested and people can RSVP…

Choose Compelling Creative (ad)

Tell people a bit more about your event by including some additional text…

Make sure to clearly explain what you’re promoting…

You should select an image or video that captures people’s attention…

Think about the types of imagery that make you stop scrolling and pay attention on Facebook…

We recommend images that have little to no text on them. Instead, include those details in the text…

You have the option to…

  1. Upload a new image
  2. Select an existing image that he’s previously posted to his Page or used in an ad
  3. Add a video or slideshow

Target The Right Audience

When you boost an event, you can target your ad to one of the following audiences…

  • People you choose through targeting: Choose the location, gender, age range, and more of the people you want to reach
  • People who like your Page
  • People who like your Page and their friends

Ready To Boost An Event

  1. Go to an event you’ve created for your Page and then click Boost Event in the lower-right corner
  2. Choose an objective for your ad. Remember that you must include a website URL for your event to see the two options
  3. Choose your text and image or video
  4. Choose your audience. Remember that you have a variety of ways to build your audience, whether it’s through their interests and geographic location or through how they’re connected to your business Page
  5. Choose your budget, which is the maximum amount you want to spend on this single promotion. Based on your budget, you’ll see how many people you’re likely to reach. You won’t be charged more than the budget you set for each ad
  6. Then choose how long you’d like your boost to run. Choose one of the pre-selected time ranges of 1 day,7 days,14 days, or choose a date by clicking on the calendar icon
  7. You can also change your payment method
  8. To the right, you can preview what your ad will look like in desktop and mobile News Feed. When you’re ready, click Boost
  9. Your ad is then submitted for review and you should hear back via email and Facebook notifications within 24 hours (if not sooner) on whether your ad is approved
