Boost Your Post

Facebook Boost Post

After you post an update to your Page — whether it’s an event, offer, image, or video — you can “boost” it to help increase awareness and engagement with your audience…

Boosted posts appear higher in Facebook News Feed and on Instagram, so there’s a better chance you can reach your target audience…

Encourage The Right Action

A “Call to action.” This button is optional, but we recommend choosing one so that people who see your ad know what to do next. The button will appear in the lower-right corner of your ad. When boosting a post, you can choose one of the following buttons:

  • Shop Now
  • Book Now
  • Learn More
  • Sign Up
  • Send Message

Select the one that aligns the most with the action you want people to take after seeing your ad.

Target The Right Audience

When you boost a post, you can target your ad to one of the following audiences…

  • People you choose through targeting: Choose the location, gender, age range, and more of the people you want to reach
  • People who like your Page
  • People who like your Page and their friends

Ready To Boost A Post

  1. Find the Page post you want to boost and click Boost Post
  2. Choose a CTA button for your ad
  3. Choose your audience. Remember that you have a variety of ways to build your audience, whether it’s through their interests and geographic location
  4. Choose your budget, which is the maximum amount you want to spend on this single promotion. Based on your budget, you’ll see how many more people you’re likely to reach with this ad. You won’t be charged more than the budget you set for each ad
  5. Then choose how long you’d like your boost to run. Choose one of the pre-selected time ranges of 1 day,7 days,14 days, or choose a date by clicking on the calendar icon
  6. If you’re using a desktop browser to boost your post, select whether you’d like to use your Facebook pixel. We recommend that you do so you can collect valuable data about how your customers browse your website
  7. You can also change your payment method
  8. To the right, you can preview what your ad will look like in desktop and mobile News Feed, Instagram, and Audience Network. Keep in mind that Instagram and Audience Network are only available if you’re boosting a video post. When you’re ready, click Boost
  9. Your ad is then submitted for review and you should hear back via email and Facebook notifications within 24 hours (if not sooner) on whether your ad is approved
